Good News First
In November, 1776 Project PAC helped elect a conservative school board in Brandywine, Michigan with four winning candidates. Tonight, they will hold their first meeting and vote for curriculum transparency and stricter oversight of sexually explicit materials in the classroom.
We have to protect children, flipping boards and securing stalwart school board members is how it’s done.
Wisconsin At Stake
If you care about the future of public education in Wisconsin, it’s time to pay attention to this year’s race for the state Supreme Court. Control of the court is on the ballot this spring, and the contest could decide the fate of redistricting. Though for school districts, the election means more than just a fight over lines on a map.
Numerous special interest groups are working against 1776 Project PAC and the parents of Wisconsin schools, and we need your help. If liberals pick up another seat on the court, they will have a rock-solid majority that never deviates from liberal activism. 1776 Project PAC is hoping to fund, train, and assist candidates in the critical swing state. Conservatives have controlled the court since 2008, and this election is liberals’ last chance for a while; if conservatives win the seat, they will hold a majority on the court until at least 2026. We are determined to help elect school board candidates who demonstrate a commitment to protect parental rights and priority to elevate education without indoctrination.

CRT Undercover
It took a while for parents to figure out what kind of trash was being taught to their children, and it took the Left a bit to figure out what kind of force those parents could be. Leftists certainly don’t like to believe Critical Race Theory is being taught everywhere—or perhaps they’d just rather everybody else not know about it. A Georgia teaching activist was recently placed on administrative leave from D.C. based education nonprofit LearningLab after admitting he illegally smuggled critical race theory into schools and kindergartens, against state law. Quintin Bostic was busted by Project Veritas for bragging to a journalist about Critical Race Theory. In the video, Bostic is boasting about how he has successfully implemented the curriculum into two school districts; Cobb County and Fulton County.
In 2022, Republicans in Georgia’s legislative chambers vowed to rid the state’s schools of CRT, in April CRT was legally banned. In May, when angry parents were attending local school board meetings to complain about how race, diversity and equity were addressed in classrooms, Governor Kemp urged the state Board of Education “to ensure that critical race theory and its dangerous ideology do not take root in our state standards and curriculum.”
CRT is the theory; SEL is the delivery system; none of it belongs in public schools.
Keeping Parents In The Dark
Radical queering advocates in education have moved on from just encouraging children to transition and be confused about gender; they now want to quietly assist student transitions without notifying parents. This emerging trend is especially concerning considering the trend is occurring simultaneously in Canada and pages are being taken directly from the canadian playbook where school boards successfully urged schools to both automatically honor requests to change a student’s name and pronouns, and not to tell parents if requested.
Virginia is getting out in front of the issue, with a bill currently in the works that would require educators to contact the parents of transgender students. Leaving any name or pronoun changes up to the discretion of the school creates unnecessary confusion and increases the probability of rogue educators and aides intentionally misdirecting ill-informed students. Advocates for L.G.B.T.Q. youth are countering with the argument that parents should stop scapegoating schools and instead ask themselves why they don’t believe their children. Once again, parents are being villainized by educators and radical activists who seem to believe that they — not the parents — know what is best for their children.
Despite the insanity coming out of courts, think tanks, and teachers’ unions, 1776 Project PAC is continuing to fight, sticking to our mantra of greater parental control. There are 31 states that have school board elections this year. School boards are made up of members of the community who care about their children's futures and their communities' futures. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that? Run, volunteer, and save your children's schools.
