In Florida we won 35 school board races. In total, the GOP flipped 5 counties with left-majority school boards. Up north both of our candidates in Duval County won their elections. Down south, both 1776 Project PAC endorsed candidates in Miami Dade County won their elections, flipping the school board. Miami Dade is now the largest county in America with a red-majority. Across the state, all three of our endorsed candidates in Sarasota County won their elections. We flipped the board from a 3-2 liberal majority to 4-1 conservative. The same Sarasota School Board where a member was recently exposed for saying “here in Florida, there are school board members that are woke. We are working from the best strategic spot because we’re working from the inside.”
In other news, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis suspended four Broward School Board Members after the Parkland report was released. DeSantis’s actions come due to misuse of authority, neglect of duty, and incompetence. Post-Florida, protecting parental rights is still in our top interest. As we keep seeing in recent elections, education is the force driving voters to the polls. Since the Florida school board victories late last month, more than 300 candidates have applied for endorsement from 1776 Project PAC. Though we are not talking to any new candidates for the rest of the 2022 cycle, stay tuned for more victories as we close in on November.

Teacher Talk
Instead of welcoming students on the first day of school, teachers in Seattle Public Schools went on strike. The results of their actions are delaying learning and punishing students. Neither are productive, it also seems that the teachers hate working. Despite the fact that they are only working 9 or 10 months of the year, they have every holiday off and then some, they got a one year paid vacation during COVID, apparently it's still too much.
Many reports are saying COVID learning changes have caused students to fall behind by two full years of academic instruction. Real learning has significantly declined, students are the ones that end up hurting from lack of structure and engagement. Instead of teachers working to improve the quality of learning for students, one district required ‘Whiteness Theory’ teacher training.
Other districts in states around the country are also scrambling to find and keep enough teachers to lead their classrooms. One answer for the lack of personnel could be discrimination. Multiple recent reports of hiring practices where candidates are rejected for their religion or politics have whistleblowers sounding the alarm. Project Veritas recently released footage of a Connecticut Public Schools Assistant Principal admitting to discriminating against Catholic teachers applying at his school.
One County at a Time
Our work across the country is paying off, in May we won 15 school board races in Texas. Last month a Texas school board that we flipped banned CRT and gender ideology. Parents started a revolution, but it takes everyone doing their part: registering to vote on time, reading up on local school board candidates, and making it out on election day. Together we will continue the nationwide trend of parents pushing back against woke education and taking back control of their public schools.
