Local Elections Are Important
Parents play a vital role in education, and their involvement is crucial to ensure that our schools are held accountable for delivering excellent education. Parental involvement goes beyond attending parent-teacher conferences or volunteering for school events; it is also about actively engaging with school administrators and policymakers to confirm that children are receiving the best possible education without any bias towards any particular ideology. Parents also deserve to know what their children are reading in school libraries and learning in the classroom. 1776 Project PAC works hard to find reasonable candidates who will support parental involvement and reject radical ideologies.
Winning in Texas
Our goal is to rid America’s schools of radical, left-wing agendas one election at a time. Last year, all 15 of our endorsed candidates won in Texas. Voters around the state chose to secure conservative leadership for their school boards. Texas Governor Greg Abbott supports parental rights and has said “parents are angry about the woke agenda that is being forced on their children in their schools,” during an event.
On May 6th 1776 Project PAC candidates won 5 out of 6 seats in Tarrant County:
Carroll ISD, Tarrant, TX
Eric Lannen
GCISD, Tarrant, TX
AJ Pontillo
Mary Humphrey
Keller ISD, Tarrant, TX
John Birt
Chris Coker
Loudoun County Retaliation
Exposed plans among parents in Loudon County reveal that radical activists were actively planning violence against parents who spoke up at school board meetings. The disturbing messages within the group discussed threats of harm and conspired to harass. Attacking parents who speak up is shocking and dangerous. This all comes after the federal government labeled parents who spoke up as domestic terrorists, clearly the domestic terrorists are the individuals threatening and harassing parents with good intentions.
It is imperative that parents have a seat at the table when it comes to their child’s education. The radical leftist ideology takes issue with granting parents the power to make informed decisions for their children and subsequently garnering respect for those decisions from others. By empowering parents, we strengthen families and, in turn, our communities.
One District at a Time
Parents are leading a movement to take back control of their public schools. But, to make it successful, we all need to do our part. That means registering to vote on time, learning about local school board candidates, and showing up to vote on election day. Together, we can continue this trend of parents pushing back against what they see as problematic education and making sure they have a say in their children's schooling.
